What is the Texas A&M Chapter of ABWA?
We are one of four chapters of the American Business Women's Association in the Brazos Valley. We are one of only a handful of student chapters in the nation. We have 70 women of the 18,000 members nationwide. Our chapter is founded on the same principals and mission as the national ABWA.
What do you do?
Our chapter has monthly meetings to foster relationships through a network of women while including professional development. Each semester we partake in two community service events, have one large fundraiser, and have one large social. We also divide our members into blended families which meet monthly to build a great sisterhood. All members have the opportunity to attend ABWA national and regional conferences around the country and can take advantage of any of the development opportunites that ABWA national offers. Our vision this year is to improve involvement through a friendly and social environment to build professional relationships.
Why should I join the Texas A&M Chapter of ABWA?
ABWA is the prime organization for creating a network of women who can support each other in all their business endeavors. ABWA will give you a group who can relate to your life and understand your dreams and goals as a business woman. ABWA also provides great resources and individuals with vast experience and knowledge that will allow youto develop as a greater business leader.
ABWA is an organization you can be involved in for the entirety your life; therefore, involvment now is of crucial importance. While so many other organizations are temporary experiences in college, ABWA is something that you can continue to grow in many years after graduating which gives it great priority.
